Spring Style with LC Apparel Co.

As the world reopens, it's time to transition cozy WFH styles into upgraded day-to-dinner looks for Spring/Summer 22. Comfort and simplicity are essential but need to be elevated as we ease back into the groove of in-person meetings, dinners, and events.

One of the most important elements in creating comfortable, effortless looks is to curate a capsule wardrobe. Selecting garments that are made with soft textures, loose silhouettes, or stretchy fabrics helps us look and feel good. Capsule wardrobes save time, and energy and are a great way to look current without constantly feeling like you need an overhaul.

With a few current pieces, we can mix and match, and add trendy colors and accessories with minimal effort. I love that all of these pieces look fresh, but could be worn in any season. They are basics with a twist, so you don't have to worry about getting tired of them.

I've partnered with LC Apparel Co., a local Toronto boutique to share some of my must-haves for Spring 2022. 

These leather cargo pants with elegant tie hem are versatile, easy to style, and take the look from meetings to dinner or events.  These gorgeous pants can be worn with a basic tee, knit, blazer, or fashion blouse. The soft, buttery texture and high waist create a flattering look with any style of top. They also look nice with a variety of footwear, including ankle boots, sneakers, and sandals.

I paired them with the cotton blend crossover rib-knit for a comfortable work-errands-to-dinner look. This organic cotton fabric is lightweight, comfortable, and breathable. The hi-low cut is flattering and feels more comfortable than a traditional cropped hem. The crossover sweater is a piece that everyone should add to their closet. It can be worn layered over a dress or blouse, under a moto, bomber, blazer, or trench. The ribbed knit design is timeless and the weight of the fabric is perfect for layering or wearing on its own throughout the warmer months. This also comes in a gorgeous lilac hue that is perfect for adding a splash of color to your look.

Next up is the stunning Dumpling Small Tote. This is THE bag to have at the moment. It is the perfect size for fitting all the essentials, without breaking our backs. The lightweight design is excellent for work, errands, dinner, or even dancing (yay for life happening again!) as it has a crossbody strap that can easily be attached. I can't get enough of the gorgeous top handles and buttery-soft faux leather. I think this rounded style will continue to be in for many more seasons. We often forget about small accessories, but honestly, they are one of the most important elements of creating a luxe, effortless style. It's important to have a few staples that you can add to your outfit to complete the look. This is where a mix of dainty and statement rings, hair accessories, earrings, and necklaces come into play. One of the biggest trends right now is scrunchies (hellos '90s!). They are back in full force and have once again, become the "it" item to add to your wrist so you can easily put your hair up on the go. They are also great as they help prevent breakage now that so many of us have long, post-pandemic locks. The silk and suede designs are huge right now, and I'm loving this warm suede.

The Ozma Coin Purse is a practical accent to add to your life as it perfectly fits cards, coins, earbuds, lip gloss, etc. It's a great addition to a larger bag or even as a crossbody micro bag with the strap from another purse. I will share more on that as well! What really excited me about this coin purse is the phrase on the backside "Live Beautifully." It's such an important mantra and it really resonates with my daily mindset of doing good for the world, embracing my uniqueness, and enjoying/being inspired by all the little things in life.

Needless to say, LC Apparel has become one of my fave local Toronto boutiques and I cannot wait to see what new pieces they bring in next!
